Fuji Television Rebrand

Fuji Television is one of the 5 main commercial TV stations in Japan. Each commercial tv station in Japan has a dedicated 1-digit channel number, and Fuji TV is channel 8. The current logo design is based on an eyeball. Their public relations explains that the logo is designed to make the viewer feel “warmth” and “friendliness,” which isn’t communicated clearly.

Design Challenge
The biggest issue with the current logo of Fuji Television was there’s no correlation with the name of the station. So my challenge was to incorporate the elements of Fuji Television into the new logo so that people wouldn’t have a hard time recognizing the company but rather have a positive attachment.
